FREE H1N1
VACCINE IS BEGINNING TOARRIVE AT WORTH COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH
Hours
8-4 Monday through Friday
Look for evening clinics in the near future
- Check the Northwood Anchor, Manly Signal, and the Worth County website www.worthcounty.org for updates on who can receive the
vaccine due to availability and priority groups
- Today (10/9) we have 100 doses of H1N1
live nasal mist. As of next Thursday (10/15) we will receive another 100
doses of H1N1 live nasal mist and 100 doses of the injectables.
The priority groups for these dose are:
- Health Care Providers
- Emergency Responders
- Pregnant women
- If you are a healthy adult under the age of 50, and
not pregnant, you can receive the H1N1 live nasal mist.
- We are encouraging those who qualify to use the
mist as that is the most plentiful vaccine at this time.
As we receive more vaccine, the following priority groups will include
- Persons living with or providing care to infants less
than 6 months of age
- Children 6 months – 4 years old
- Children 5 – 18 years old with a chronic medical
condition
As more vaccine becomes available, the priority group will be expanded
to include:
- All people 5 – 24 years old
- All people 25 – 64 with a chronic medical condition
In the coming months there should be enough H1N1 vaccine for all those
in these risk groups, and perhaps enough for anyone who wants it.
